Some folks on this list may recall that last October, I ran
some ad campaigns on FlyCast and I posted the results
at my web site at http://www.markwelch.com/flycast.htm

I think someone was paying attention, because shortly
after I posted those results, the sites that had performed
well became very difficult to buy, and some of the sites
raised their advertising rates substantally.

Despite this lesson, I have now posted the latest results
from my experience advertising on FlyCast from January
13 through 28. However, the bulk of my advertising buys
(over 500,000 adviews) was in the form of "blind buy"
run-of-network advertising, and the targetted buys did
not produce enough traffic to be statistically reliable.

In any event, the new results are now reflected at the
top of the page at http://www.markwelch.com/flycast.htm
(and the October results are still included on the same
page).

Summary: I paid $647.54 for 566,639 adviews, which
generated 3,770 click-throughs (as reported by FlyCast),
or a click-through rate of 0.665%. That's an overall cost
of 17.2 cents per clickthrough.

Conclusions:
The "new discoveries" for me were the Coollist and Internet
Tool Zone sites, which performed quite well for me, but
delivered very low traffic levels. The "Submit This" site,
which performed well in October, raised its rates and then
generated much poorer results (1.4% CTR, 50 cents per
click) when compared to my October runs (3.2% CTR,
10c per click).
