Couldn't agree with you more, Richard. Content creation is by far the
biggest expense for two reasons:

1. It's quality content that brings people to a site, and keeps them coming
back. Not advertising puffery.

2. Content is created by people. And people are always the biggest expense.

Lets face it, a reasonably active site is going to require anything from 3
or 4 people up to as many as 30 or 40. At say, an average cost (including
insurance, taxes of one kind and another (we have a state payroll tax, for
example), superannuation, etc of say $45K per annum each (some will cost
more; some less) it's not hard to rack up the dollars very quickly. Yet if
you don't provide the content, you're simply wasting your time.
