I have been following this thread with much interest. Many people site the
disconnect between offline advertising and online response, and logically, I
follow their argument. But as the tsunami of noise that is banner
advertising grows, more and more web users, particularly experienced users,
decline to click on banners. This creates the need for more innovative
advertising and marketing, both on- and off-line.

It appears that the discussion thus far has focused on URLs in print. Do
people have feedback / experience with URLs in other mediums, radio ads,
public transport, or in direct mail? The actions of the city guides
(sidewalk, citysearch) certainly indicate a belief in off-line advertising,
especially public transportation.

I was intrigued by Kyle Sherwin's post, and wanted to request a URL.
