Is it naive to suggest that Network Solutions (Internic) would be in an
excellent position to index and categorize ALL sites?

Just a few more lines on their registration form at the time of initial
registration or renewal would do it. They could charge a fee for any
mid-term changes. No advertising, no proprietary content...just a value
added service for their customers.

I would even be happy to pay more than the $50 per year for that added value.
