While At Internet World this week, I was briefed by a company called RevNet
( http://www.revnet.com ) which has some impressive email software products
and services. In addition to a few other products, they have a relatively
new email server software called UnityMail that delivers an impressive
array of functions for controlling mailing lists along the lines you are
describing. It is rather costly, however, ranging from $5,000 to $12,000.
Their target market, however, is really ISPs, who would then outsource such
list managment services for customers on a much more affordable basis.
Perhaps you can contract them and find out which of their customers so far
offer such services. RevNet itself also offers some list management
services. I'd recommend them as a place to start.
