I've been pondering how Search Engines will move
forward through the clutter of WWW submissions. Most every
major Search Engine has developed "Channels". (ie; Excite,
Lycos, Infoseek, Webcrawler)

These channels seem to be Step 1 of how Yahoo started
out but may currently be the best way to surf and find high-quality
links. Unfortunately, Yahoo's predicament seems to be a preview to end
result.

I wanted to know your opinions on how these channels will
affect web traffic in the future. I'm fairly certain (99.9% sure) that
the channels are independent of META tags and are selected individually
by staff members. Does this concern anyone who has good Search Engine
placement? (that surfers will begin to use channels instead?)
