I have noticed a few high volume lists using SparkNET,
http://www.SparkLIST.com/ . For example Danny Sullivan's Engine Update
newsletter is sent through them. You may want to contact them as a
possibility. Apparently they have 10 T1 lines and the ability to handle
mailing lists from 20,000 to 20,000,000 subscribers without problem. Their
site says something to the effect that: "225 Emails Per Second Per Server,
allows [them] to successfully deliver and sustain 675 Emails PER Second."
Wow! I wish our site had that much capacity! (BTW I have no affiliation
with them). Good luck.
