Not only is this impossible to measure accurately it is a
variable that depends on dozens of inter-related
performance variables. The most important of these is
obviously the speed of access to the target site (and that
in turn can vary according to the state of the network, the
time of day, and the relative locations of surfer and server).
People have to be very motivated to wait more than 10
seconds before they can see something significant. We
reckon an industry average of 8% bail-out.
