John,

In the end, which ever way you charge for ads will end up working out to
be within 10 or 20 percent of the other way. If it doesn't, advertisers
will require an adjustment until it does.

Because of the predictability of CPM, I think most people prefer the CPM
model. It's safer (and most advertisers are risk-adverse).
