Dear ONLINE-ADS list members,

One problem that gets me fuming is centered around blatantly lying about
traffic. My company has a number of affiliate programs geared towards
high-traffic sites - and I've been burned by a couple who's claims have been
completely unfounded.

For instance, a shopping site that claimed to have 500-700K visitors/mo. has
yet to produce anything worth mentioning. What do I have to do - put a
clause in their contracts penalizing them for misrepresentation?

I understand some of these problems. As a San Diego-based software firm,
AutoFusion tracks its referred traffic from affiliates and report results in
real-time to avoid any COUNTING METHOD problems.

To avoid AD-PRICING concerns, we let online ad agencies run our banners &
creatives across the 'net. Our unique program also addresses the excellent
points raised by FlyCast's Heidi Kay in the previous digest.

Basically, our 50% commission offering (from revenue generated through
services which are FREE to our visitors) acts as an incentive for them to
target our ads for <http://www.CarPrices.com>. If your promotional programs
are not win-win, why waste your time & money?

I'm interested in learning everything else that makes you grimice...and what
solutions you've found.

Shameless Promo: If you interested in learning more about these programs,
let me know and I'll send you the info.

Regards,

Mike Benavides
