Hello:

I need some orientation with a legal issue. This might not be the right
list but somebody might know where to go or a good internet lawyer. The
largest bank in Puerto Rico just bought me a sponsorship on our online
classifieds Transportation section ($5000.00/month). They are
advertising this auto financing product website. To my surprise when you
click on the link and you go to their page you will find that they are
happily partnered with a website that has FREE Transportation
classifieds on our area. In other words theyre linking and redirecting
traffic from our website to our competitor's website. I sent them an
email saying that there was a conflict of interests and apparently they
think that they have the right and that it is totally legal. I guess if
you compare it to print newspaper it will be like placing an ad of our
competitor's newspaper on our newspaper.

I am the marketing director for an online newspaper in Puerto Rico and
if somebody has the name of a good online law website (specifically for
Internet Advertising) or a good online lawyer I would appreciate any
help. I will contact the IAB.
