This is a technique used at some sites to allow only search
engines to see their meta tags and keep the public (i.e.,
their competitors) from seeing their meta tags.

It requires that a CGI program look at the IP address of the
Web visitor and determine whether to serve the public
version of a page or the search engine version. If you're
using a system to serve pages dynamically it is probably
easy to do. Otherwise a custom program would have to be
written.
