I agree with Ken that CDNow's "My Wish List" is clever, but
I would like to point out that MYWISHLIST.COM owned and
operated by Eva Rosenberg and Rick Cordell has been offering
this service for a couple of years. Eva was one of our
BizGuides in Virtual Franchise, is a tax specialist, and one
of those who has contributed a great deal to the online
business community largely unrewarded for several years that
I know of.
Ironically, Eva was very active in our 'Shop The Web'
campaign that CDNow and others benefited so greatly from
despite the fact that no corporation contacted would sponsor
the grass roots effort that clearly reached millions all
over the world. To the credit of CDNow, they did at least
trade links. If we want a self-sustaining 'industry' that is
supported beyond a few IPOs, then we had best begin to act
like a community of business people which includes
respecting other's investments, and unrewarded contributions
that made all this possible.
