Boy, is he right. The rep. and the agency ultimately are
partners.

I love working with agencies when we are both mutually
working for the best possible ROI of a campaign. It feels
like a partnership. I feel like I'm working for the client.
When it works, it is fun!

Unfortunately, reps can't give agencies what they want if
they don't give all the facts. That is why reps go around
agencies sometimes. There is so much that can be done on
the web that is not a standard media buy. Which brings me
to the next point--

His other point has concerned me for some time. Why do
clients switch agencies at the drop of a hat, demand so
much, so fast, wanted it yesterday, etc.? There is clearly
a message here. Obviously, clients are dissatisfied. What
will solve that? Not exactly sure, but to start with...

When will both sites and agencies pay for excellent
people-not just warm bodies? People who care about the
client within all levels of media that can educate and reach
their clients goals.

This started a more than a few years ago when "SOME, not
all" agencies and ad salesforces became sweat shops to be
more - efficient. Now we are all paying for it. :(
