Your recent post about Advertising Reps was brilliant and
correct. It doensn't matter where the eyeballs are it only
matters that they are there. However, I would fine tune your
idea and stress there must be categories, even very
detailed. If I'm a flower pot designer I don't want to reach
1,000,000 eyeballs. I do want to reach, 1,000,000 or 100
"green thumbs" etc. I think this new ADX - advertising stock
exchange (copyright Ramon Ray (c) 1998) would have yahoo
like categories, but then a user could also sort just by
volume for a broad targetting, even geogrphic specific
sites.
Small budgeters could also get in the game and bid for low
eyeball reach - money does talk. If I want to spend $5,000
(just like on the real exchange) I could buy a lower amount
of stock AND decide if I want 100 of a high value stock (or
ad) or 1,000 of a low value stock (or ad) for example. This
would fall back on the category and "type of eyeball" as
some may want to reach 1,000,000 American Expresss card
holding millionares, others may want to reach 1,000,000
bankrupt, in debt people....
