WebCMO offers a free web survey software (including a
sophisticated analyzer) SiteSurv. It includes a pop-up
function. You can visit our web site to copy the Java
scripts that generate a pop-up window for your survey. If
you are able to write the cgi codes to collect data from
your survey, you donít need to pay for a pop-up window
service.

A survey might be the only way for you to understand your
branding effects. Although we often see a survey does not
work well, as I discussed before (please read ìTragedies of
marketing Researchî at our web site), we should blame the
people who conduct that survey instead of the survey or
marketing research itself. Most of the time, a well designed
survey always provides the best knowledge of a marketing
issue.

CORINNA COWLES WROTE:

This is the real issue you need to focus on. Branding is an
integrated process of market segmentation, segment targeting
and positioning. (Please read ìOnline brandingî at our web
site) Branding does not merely mean brand awareness. As a
matter of fact, I am still uncomfortable to a brand
awareness study: you ask respondents whether they are aware
of your brand by telling them your brand name!

Hope you find a better way to understand your branding
effects.
