This assumes that the only variable is price. What of the
possibility of competitor's presence--you buy into a site
because the competitor is there. Or how about buying into a
site to exclude a competitor?

The comparison of $1 vs $75 is extreme. But you can see how
a $4 or $5 might sell as well as a $1 CPM site without
necessarily having a better clickthru' rate.
