It seems that contests and sweepstakes are everywhere on the
net.

One thing I'm curious about and maybe someone can answer
this for me is:

If a site is willing to invest thousands of dollars in
contest development and prizes... why do they seem
unwilling to spend a few hundred dollars advertising their
promotion on one of the various contest and sweepstakes
listing sites?

I personally have found it very difficult to attract paid
banner advertising to Contestworld although it would seem to
me that our visitors are 100% targeted to contests and
sweepstakes promotions and therefore highly likely to click
through.

I can understand when the ultimate goal of the promotion is
to build a database of names of people who are interested in
the product or service being offered by the host site. But
in cases where the contest is designed to generate interest
in or traffic to a site it would seem that advertsisng
dollars spent on contest and sweepstakes listing sites would
be much more well spent than dollars spent in other venues.

Can I get some feedback?

In addition as the president of Contestworld I'd like to
take this opportunity to inform people who are not long time
subscribers to this list (and remind those of you who are)
that you can increase traffic to contests and sweepstakes
for free using the literally hundreds contest and
sweepstakes listing sites out there on the net.

A good place to start, of course, is Contestworld where you
can enter your promotion into our very popular database
freely and in real time by visiting this link:
