Hello Richard and all. Just wanted to drop you all a note
and announce
that...

...it's baaaack!!

Microscope <http://www.microscope.com> is returning to its
roots as the online advertising industryís premiere banner
review site when it debuts this week.

Unlike the previous version of Microscope, which relied on
the opinion of a single expert to rate the
effectiveness of a banner, the new Microscope relies on a
rotating cast of a dozen industry all-stars to
rate an online ad banner campaign according to five specific

criteria. Reviewers rank the ad banners on the following
points: strategy, concept, execution, design, and
effectiveness.

Each week, three reviewers serve up honest and expert (and
sometimes brutal) opinions on a campaign
of the week. In addition, the designer of the ad chimes in
with his or her own perspective. Readers are
invited to register their opinions on whether the weekís
reviewers are brilliant or brutish.

The new Microscope is exciting... because it really puts
banners to the test. This is not for the weak of heart.

Up on Microscope this week are Michael Diamant, president of

T3 Media; Matthew Freeman of Modem Media . Poppe Tyson; and
Daniel Stein, executive producer of interactive for
Anderson& Lembke. The trio weighs in on Kenwoodís "Get
Stereotyped" banner.

Microscope will publish weekly on successive Wednesdays.
