If you've often thought there's nothing more to newsgroup discussions than
rumors about Bill Clinton's sexual escapades, you should tune in next week.

USENET NEWSGROUPS DISCUSSED ON "THE CYBER MEDIA SHOW WITH KIM BAYNE" Program
Airs on Traditional Radio in Local Markets September 28 through October 4

In-studio Featured Guests Thomas Chun, President and CEO, and Carlos
Tribino, VP
of Marketing and Sales, both of Talkway, Inc., will discuss Usenet
newsgroups on
the next edition of "The Cyber Media Show with Kim Bayne." Program 44 (Usenet
Newsgroups) airs on non-commercial and public radio station affiliates in local
markets from September 28 through October 4. For rebroadcast on demand, the
program will be archived in streaming audio at http://www.cybermedia.org.

In her opening monologue, Host Kim Bayne offers personal insights on newsgroup
participation, emphasizing how newsgroup posts often return to haunt the
originator. In Featured Guest segments, Kim, Tom and Carlos discuss the variety
of newsgroups found in the Usenet hierarchy, mention the different ways users
gain access to newsgroups, and provide examples of why users might access
newsgroups for both personal and professional reasons. During Net Highlights,
Christopher Sloan of "The Cyber Media News Desk" interviews Lewis Gersh,
founder, president and CEO of Worldly Information Network, about his company's
reasons for providing newsgroup access to his Web visitors, noting the benefits
to users in accessing newsgroup discussions via the Web.
