Re: donating banner space for charity
David Rosenheim asked where he could find one place where
charities' ad banners are available. For more than two
years, I have maintained a web page (now at
http://www.markwelch.com/bannerad/baf_psa_bann.htm) where I
try to present as many of the currently available charity
banners as I can find. You can also find ad banners in
several standard sizes ( 468x60, 392x72, 234x60 and 120x90)
through the Ad Council web site at http://www.adcouncil.org/
One problem is that the Ad Council and many charities have a
dreadful habit of reorganizing their web sites and moving
their banners without notice -- many of the banners shown on
my PSA page are coming up as broken-picture icons. (I
haven't updated the page in more than six months, because it
is one of the LEAST visited pages at my site.)
The Ad Council now has some sort of deal with NetGravity so
that PSA ads can be automatically served, but I don't know
how well that will work if you already use an ad-serving
solution.
