PRESS QUERY: e-zines, newsletters and beyond

I'm looking for examples of web-businesses that are using
e-mail as part of their web marketing strategy for an
article I am developing. While I 'm interested in hearing
from firms, both large or small who are using e-mail for
e-zines and newsletters, I'd especially like to hear about
firms who are using unique approaches to attract their
subscribers.

Additionally I would love to hear from firms who are using
e-mail in their marketing strategies in ways beyond "just
newsletters". Of interest would be firms that are using
e-mail as part of their customer service follow-up,
developing e-mail to announce specials or promos to their
customers that tie to the customer's special interests, and
any other uses of e-mail marketing that is helping to build
relationships with the firm's customers and to increase
sales.
