As our network currently audits 3 Million cllickthroughs a
month I am curious to know where Matthew gets his certainty
that no-one clicks. Perhaps I should add that we also
monitor the traffic right through the advertisers site for
each click through right up to the point of registration,
form completion, sale or any number of different actions
which our advertisers wish us to monitor for them. Most of
our campaigns have been running for six months or more and
many are small companies. All of them are measuring costs
against their bottom line so if it didn't work they would be
long gone, but they are still there.

Matthew appears to have strong opinions based upon an
instant statistical sample of one. It certainly is true that
Yahoo like many others are struggling to maintain their
links with the web growing at such an unbelievable rate.
Nonetheless they remain tops for many queries that need a
list of fully qualified sites by content. Different search
engines are best for different jobs. But Yahoo remains a
profitable and useful tool and justifiedly gains the most
traffic on the web. I doubt they will shiver with fright at
Matthews prognostications <g>.
