I understood the reference to three million clickthrough as
an attempt to put me down. However you lost me after that,
although I got the general impression you did not like my
comments <g>.

I would be very impressed by the three million clickthroughs
your corporate site enjoys if it had a shred of reality
about it. I went to your company site which is fairly
typical industrial brochureware. I am sure Yamatake
Corporation, Tokyo is a very impressive company but I doubt
if your corporate site receives 300 Million pageviews a
month. That is what it takes to generate three million
clickthroughs and I am not speaking of the intersite links
on your site.

Instead of trying to belittle the fact that our network has
three million people each month clicking on advertising
banners why not address the issue? You claimed that no-one
clicked on banners. That is clearly nonsense since 53% of
Internet advertising spend is on banners. But if you have
something substantive to say on the issue I am sure the list
would be happy to hear what it is.

More personal attack instead of addressing the issue. Our
link checker gives our site a clean bill of health but even
if we did have some broken links what does this have to do
with my views on Yahoo? I don't own any shares in Yahoo but
I sure wish I had bought them when they started out. In a
fast moving environment Yahoo may become the PBT but I doubt
it. I was curious to see this newcomer goongle and since you
ommitted to share the URL with us I went to search on all
the major search engines but drew a blank as I did with
goongle.com and goongle.net. Maybe this is all a conspiracy
by the leading search engines to keep down what obviously
threatens to wipe them out in weeks if not days :)
