3rd Party Ad Serving and IP issues
Has anyone explored issues related to ownership of cookies
garnered through 3rd party ad serving. For example, if an
advertiser runs banners on a publisher site, the banners are
served by a 3rd party, and every CTR is cookied, who owns
the information. Can it be readily resold by the 3rd party?
If a publisher were looking to hire a company to serve its
banners, are some of the ad servers more likely than others
to want to market cookie information to other companies.
