Banner burnout is a problem. One of the reasons we upgraded
and swapped out our ad serving software at ADSDAQ
(http://www.adsdaq.com) a few months ago was to gain the
ability to limit exposures by user. We limit exposures to 3
or 4 per user, which keeps CTR high. The problem isn't the
banner per se, it the exposure count...
We now throw in exposure limits as part of our
run-of-network ad packages. I think its just good practice.
