PRESS QUERY: Key Articles on Internet Marketing
Dear All,
I have been asked by Sage Publications to act as a
co-ordinating editor for a new series of texts on marketing.
One of the proposed titles in the series is Internet
Marketing and E-Commerce.
It is envisaged that the text will be aimed at students on
specialist marketing modules which focus on Web
marketing/e-commerce (undergraduate or postgraduate) and
should consist of 8 - 10 chapters on various aspects of the
topic. Each chapter should be approximately 8000 words in
length and provide an up-to-date review of the topic
selected for the chapter title. If case studies can be
added to provide the readers with materials which can form
the basis of an assignment, then this would be useful.
Hence in relation to the question of focus, the orientation
is somewhat acadademic because it is directed towards
assisting in the teaching of the subject.
There may also be the opportunity to create a supporting
Web-site carrying a selection of the keynote articles in the
field.
The probable timetable for the activity would be: 2 - 3
months obtaining commitments from authors. Then another 6
months while authors are developing their materials.
My problem is this is not an area of marketing where I have
any real knowledge of the leading writers in the field.
Hence I would be grateful to hear (a) from anybody
interested in contributing, (b) suggested names and contact
adresses for anybody in the field you feel might make a
potential contribution and (c) references to key articles
which might be considered for the text.
