I run the Bannermercial Network, the #1 rich-media-only ad
network. We are currently developing four commerce
Bannermercials for various advertisers. These will let the
consumer browse products that are available only in limited
quantities in a certain limited time frame (hours or days),
find out more, and buy through the Bannermercial, without
ever leaving the originating site.
The host sites benefit because they get a rev share of
purchase, the Bannermercials are served from our server farm
so as not to bog down the host site's server, and the
respondent doesn't leave the host site.
I am aware of ImpulseBuy! but don't know how successful
their business model really is. We intend to make a profit
for our network members and for ourselves in this effort!
