I go by the majority Jim. Our revenue has grown by 20% each
month compounded ever since we started. That is double the
industry average. We currently add 3,000 new members each
month. How could we do those things if we caused our members
and advertisers to be as dissatisfied as you suggest? You
cited 40 members who over a period have expressed
dissatisfaction. I am pretty sure the majority have since
been satisfied. It would bore this list if I listed all of
the things we have added to Safe-Audit in response to
members and advertisers requests. In any event it is results
that speaks.
I am sure that there are others like yourself that would
like us to do things which we will not do. And some members
or advertisers may even be fully justified in their
complaints. We do not claim to be perfect. we just do our
best and I set the fact that we get 20 replies to our
members survey every day with very rare complaints. On the
contrary a typical comment is "you are the best". So I am
not complacent but I am reasonably content.
Running an operation our size means there will aways be a
few died-in-the-wool malcontents like yourself. You still
claim we owe you money from July 1998 yet I see from our
online accounts history (another user request) that you have
sold us an average of $250 worth of your traffic every month
since then. So the benefit that Safe-Audit gives you must
still outweigh your dissatisfaction.
You persist in saying that our checks do not have return
addresses yet every one has a return address printed in the
top left hand corner. I challenge you to produce a check of
ours without our address on it. You should know since you
get one every month.
We do not ignore any emails. We currently answer almost 500
every day. We have had problems with email going astray. So
we are shortly going to give every member a Free email
client that guarantees delivery of email and tracks it to
prove exactly when it has been read.
Your last claim that we condone fraud is because we refuse
to arbitrate in disputes between members who each claim the
other is a fraudster, in your case that another member stole
your copyright. We condone nothing, we simply do not have
the time or inclination to depart outside our own area of
competence and responsibility. Apart from anything else it
is far too easy to get things wrong. We recently received
documentary evidence to the effect that you had spoofed a
child pornography site to implicate someone you had a grudge
against (grudges seems to be fairly frequent happenings for
you). In that case we also refused to accede to their
request that we terminate your membership. Policing the web
is simply not our job. Our job is to police our network and
lord knows that is a big enough task :)
