I moderate the newsgroups
news:misc.business.marketing.moderated and
news:misc.entrepreneurs.moderated and I have been flooded by
spam from AllAdvantage affiliates. One even sent in 15
copies!

Seeing that most use a bogus address, I decided to contact
this "company" Nothing real on the site so a simple WHOIS
brought up the following:

apartment <g>

I sent Mr. Jorgensen an email asking him to email all his
affiliates to not send to newsgroups that have "moderated"
as part of its name as these NGs are for discussion only.
And to also post it on his site when people sign up. I have
not received a reply. But I promised him that if I continue
to receive spam from his affiliates, he will receive each
one (and we are talking near 180 this last week). Further,
if it does not stop, complaints for each will go to his
host; Digex.net

The Internic database is usually the first place I go to
track down a "problem child".
