Good afternoon everyone,

I wanted to take this opportunity to introduce myself as the
new moderator of the Online Advertising Discussion List.

I have been a subscriber of Online Ads since September of
1997; when a small direct response advertising agency in
Austin, TX and I were first trying to get a handle on this
intriguing new media. The threads on this discussion list
have often coincided with issues I had been contending with
on the front lines of internet advertising.

Like most of you, I have been content to lurk on this list.
Over the last two years I have posted no more than 3 times.
Now, as the new moderator of this list, I will be posting
regularly. I look forward to building a professional
relationship with each of you. It is your contribution (and
Richard Hoy's dedication) that has made the Online
Advertising Discussion List the success that it is today.

As Richard noted in his sign-off last week, the brief
history of the online advertising industry has been
characterized by nothing if not dramatic change. One thing
that has remained consistent, however, is the Online
Advertising Discussion List itself. This list has always
been, and will always remain, an egalitarian open forum for
online advertising professionals. If you have not yet
posted to Online Ads, I encourage you to begin now. If you
have been posting regularly, thank you for your
contributions.
