The idea of a web notary is an interesting one, but I see a
potential problem: incentive. If you pay them, it becomes
very expensive. If you don't pay them, you risk product
quality (either by them bowing to payment from sites, etc.)
and/or face the AOL 'volunteer' issue. Perhaps there's
an electronic way (say adding a tag (tech infrastructure
issue) like "inspected by x" to link to their homepage,
indicating how many pages they've done, their areas of
interest, etc.. Their homepage (or perhaps even their
authorization tag) could then have affiliate links (e.g.
Amazon, etc.) from which they'd extract profit.
