RE: word of mouth on the internet
I've given some thought to Jeremy's question as well, and
would be interested to hear what others think.
I've seen some great examples of this. I don't remember the
name of the company (so maybe it wasn't perfect), but I
clicked on an .exe file that launched an application that
emulated my entire hard drive being erased. Very scary and
very effective. It was for a security company.
My question to the list, however, and my biggest concern
with this kind of initiative, is that I almost never click
on an .exe file. I was voted 'Most Paranoid' of my
graduating class, so I'm curious how others feel about this.
Do you ever open an .exe file from a non-trusted source?
