Re: Wall Between Editorial and Advertising

I've had the same struggle with my own site. This site and
visitors have exploded and it started with me just writing a
lot of good content, but now I'm reviewing items on the
site, have 2 ezines and etc...and I'm doing some "light"
advertising, but when this gets heavier and more
professional, how in the world can I keep this distinction
clear. Not in my mind, but in my advertisers and readers
minds?

Case 1:

I've just talked to the PR person and gotten info about
product A, then I hit up the same person (aghhhh) for info
about them advertising with me!!!

Case 2:

I find a great small biz product and write about it, can I
put up an ad and make money from it and etc.

I THINK I"m going to hit up an online rep firm 24/7 or
somebody to see if they'll take on my developing site at
