Actually, it is quite possible to create a banner that can
collect E-mail or demographic info without using JAVA or
Rich Media of any kind. Does anyone remember Amazon's remote
search banner? It is quite possible to collect E-mail
addresses and demographic info within a simple HTML banner,
most web sites can serve HTML bannes quite easily and it is
easier to use than a Rich Media solution.

So yes, it is easy to have a banner that collects E-mail
addresses and developing them and serving them isn't that
difficult either.
