We have recently added a second, bottom position banner, to
a newly launched section of our newspaper's web site. We are
trying to weigh the pros and cons to determine whether or
not one position has an advantage, in value terms ($), over
the other. Can anyone share research on click-throughs or
branding strength of top compared to bottom banner
positions? If you don't have statistics, I'd love to hear
your own logic on how to price them or why they should be
priced the same. I'm especially interested in hearing
replies from ad agencies.
Thanks for you help,
Jason Marrone
