Targeting people who leave a site
Does anyone have any experience trying to intercept people
who leave a site prior to making a purchase? Something
along the lines of "In case you missed the promotion for
the free CDs....."
We're investigating the idea of having a pop-up survey or a
special promotion for these users. In either case, there'd
be an incentive for users to respond.
I'd like to get a feeling for what kind of response rates a
survey or an offer might get if it comes to a user just
prior to leaving a site. Also, if there are any special
considerations that should be kept in mind.
thanks,
Ed Lake
