Re: InterNIC No Longer Reveals Contact Info

Thanks for the address, I just wasted more than half an hour
(with the meter running, Italian Telecom!) trying to find
the contact info for an outfit that seems to be using one of
my servers (that's what the support people tell me) to relay
their SPAM. They are creating a huge problem for me,
filling my server with their mail every day. Maybe Internic
has the info on their home page but I swear I couldn't find
it. Finally I went to www.register.com (another company
authorized to register domains and although it took a while,
I finally got an address and phone number. But guess what,
the two I.P. numbers they gave don't answer. All this to
say that I believe it is essential to be able to know to
whom a domain is registered, even though I am a strong
advocate for privacy. Best wishes to all on this great list
