Yes, there are three things a site can do to discourage the
use and further creation of ad-blocking software.
1. Deny access to users of the ad-blocking
software/browsers. This is not always possible as some
software downloads the ad, but simply doesn't display it.
2. Deny access to users from the domain of the ad-blocking
software source, such as wrq.com (Walker Richer Quinn's
AtGuard) and Siemens.
3. Don't accept advertising from makers of such software for
any of their products and services.
