This is a no-brainer. Intellectual Property differs from
real estate in a basic sense that ownership is not of a
material thing but rather of a cognitive entity. What you
are suggesting is actually more in the line of forgery.
Let's say I buy a piece of land (a brand name) and go on a
holiday. If I find squatters on the front lawn after I
return, do I call the police or the relocation company. A
problem issues when several companies already own a single
name, and want to claim rights. In such a case, we can say
that the deeds to the title are unsigned and then it's
first-come, first-served.
