RE: lawsuits against on-line auction sites
Well, it's finally here. Lawsuits against on-line auction
sites that failed to deliver. Has anyone else seen results
of these lawsuits?
Some suits were filed in Illinois, mainly focused for
non-delivery.
Hopefully, these will act as a wake-up call to those that
believe Internet Commerce has all of the bugs worked out and
that anyone can just "jump on and make tons of money".
Those that are serious should take notice and make sure that
their sites and "offers" are legitimate. Just as the
Internet is a "new frontier", so is litigation in this area
with many hungry lawyers looking for a way to "make money
the old-fashioned way" by suing.
Would like comments or feedback of pros and cons.
Traditional issues like order processing and order
fulfillment are critical for those selling on-line. Have
these been somehow overlooked - or minimized - in light of
"web-site development"? For those new to "retailing",
wholesaling, "e-tailing", shame on you for not understanding
the "big picture". For those that are "old hands", where
was YOUR input?
