Umm, I would think that this would have been covered already
but....

Brian, it appears that what you are trying to do is called
spamming. The practice of sending unsolicited Bulk E-mail;
this topic has been covered to death so I am not even going
to cover it here. Needless to say, it is unethical and its
not the best way to advertise. Perhaps you should look
through the archives of this list, and others like it on the
web, I am sure you will find plenty of information on the
subject.

That being said, the appropriate way to do this is to rent a
list from a reputable list broker like Post Master Direct
(www.postmasterdirect.com), or place ads in E-Zines like the
ones represented by a company like Penn Media.
(www.pennmedia.com) It's just common sense, you can send
people junk mail that they are likely to filter out or
delete, or you can send people ads in E-mail publications,
or announcement lists that they are waiting for. If the
person is actually expecting and looking forward to reading
an E-mail publication then they are more likely to see your
ad, than something from an annonymous source that they never
wanted in the first place.
