Finding advertisers

Is there a simple way to find the contacts that handle
advertising at tech vendors? I deal with many PR people and
I know they have obvious connections (in whatever way) to
the clients advertising side, but I wouldn't want to ask my
PR people about it.

Of course hiring an advertising rep is the easiest route,
but I've gotten my own PR and I think I can handle my own
adv - for now. Shortly, I"ll hire my own PR firm and
advertising agent, but for now, I'd like to do this myself.
