Come on, Laura. Get off your politically correct high horse.
David Ogilvy was a brilliant advertiser. His statement was
not meant to be sexist or insulting, but to enlighten. The
statement remains true to this day for millions of American
households and would be equally true if the second clause
was changed to ". . . he's your husband". Sorry, but the
fact you felt insulted is not sufficient justification to
rewrite history or impose social limits as to what people
should or should not talk about.
