Greetings,

I am a new subscriber to this group and am seeking advice.

My company publishes corporate financial software for
mergers & acquisitions, business valuation, fixed asset
depreciation and more. I have been put in charge of
developing the marketing plan for our web site. I have
been researching starting a discussion group, e-mail
campaigns and misc. other traffic building efforts.

My questions are:

1) Can someone tell me what the average response rate there
is for email campaigns? The first type is a free
newsletter offer (to build traffic) and the second would be
for a product special offer (one step sale offer). Our
products range in cost from $250 to $995.

2) Can someone tell me what kind of membership interest I
can expect for a discussion group?

Any help would be appreciated.
