Hi Kevin,
The AdTech conferences have been going on for several years
now. Billed as "The Digital Marketing Conference", these
events are usually filled with great speakers,
presentations, panels, and very large expo halls. You'll
come away with some valuable information - as long as you
seek it. The last one in San Francisco (May '98) was so
overcrowded, many attendees simply couldn't get into
sessions. And once in, some presentations were, well...less
than enlightening. This one was also heavy on the schmooze
factor - lots of parties and networking, but often at the
expense of solid, tactical information.
It's definitely worth a trip. Check out the web site at
www.ad-tech.com. They're usually put on in conjunction with
Channel Seven (www.channelseven.com), you may still find
archives of past conferences or reviews.
Best,
Kito Jumanne
