As far as capturing online creative...
If you come across good (and bad) banner examples, just
right-click on the image and, depending on your browser, do
a "save image as" to a designated directory and then either
view it online or print it out later. You can do the same
with interstitials (or pop-ups), buttons, etc.
I'd also recommend "seeding" yourself with some of the most
popular opt-in e-mail list vendors. You'll then get
samples of those dumped right to your inbox and you can
pick and choose. There's a lot of creativity going on here
nowadays (and, of course, there's a slew of weak examples to
choose from as well -- there are a lot of companies who
simply aren't using creative pros that know this medium).
