e-mail direct: best days of week?

Our company has recently dipped our toes into e-mail direct
as a means of getting our message/offer out. Does anyone
have quantitative knowledge on which days of the week are
"best" when sending messages to consumers? We offer a free
private voicemail service and believe that Friday/Saturday
are days when consumers are more receptive. Any ideas?
