Third party ad serving, up to 10K reward

I am doing research about third party ad serving, especially
as it relates to recent patents on the topic. A client is
willing to pay up to $10K to someone who presents evidence
that third party ad serving was a concept known and used
before October 28, 1995.

The ad serving technology works as follows. There is a web
page server and a third party ad server. A user goes to the
website of the web page server. The web page server
provides the user with a web page, but without an ad. The
ad that is served by the third party ad server. The third
party ad server selects an ad based on the user profile and
sends the advertisement to be displayed on the previously
provided web page.

Timing is very important for the client offering the reward.
Please send in any related information before November 21,
1999. Information sent after that date will also be
accepted. If you have such information, please let me know
so I can put you in touch with the client.
