I am new to this list, so let me first introduce
myself. I am the Marketing Manager for EDU, the online
service provider of Gradschools.com and
Studyabroad.com. I am also interested in starting my
own web marketing consulting business in the future.
(Any tips for getting started would be greatly
appreciated).
I am currently doing some thorough research on search
engines in regards to submitting and ranking. Both of
our sites are usually on the first page for our main
keywords, study abroad and graduate school, but there
are a few search engines in which we are not listed at
all.
I am really looking for any tips on this subject that
are not well known. I know most of the basics such as:
having more links to your site ranks you higher, some
search engines are case sensitive, keywords should
appear in the meta tags, title and first few lines of
the page, etc. I am also very familar with what search
engines consider spamming.
Anyone who has any information, please contact me. I
would really appreciate any help!
Thank You,
Lori Faunce
